At Sakura Intermediate Care Facility, our goal is to provide compassionate nursing and supportive care in a setting that promotes your ability to thrive.

Enjoy Your Stay

Feel at home in our private or semi-private rooms that are warm and comfortable. Each room includes access to cable television and free high-speed Internet service. Our activities program will keep you busy and invigorated and will provide you with opportunities to engage with other residents, staff, and volunteers.

We invite and encourage you to enjoy a full calendar of cultural activities and services including:

  • Karaoke
  • Hanafuda
  • Shodo/calligraphy
  • Religious services
  • Origami
  • Special cuisine for Japanese holidays
  • Therapeutic exercise and outdoor walking
  • Song Fest

We also offer Japanese and Japanese-American-centric cuisine. Meals feature both Western- and Japanese-inspired entrées, including unagi donburi, somen, yakisoba, and oden. During our monthly candlelight birthday dinners and Japanese holiday celebrations such as New Year’s and Keiro No Hi, residents may indulge in specially prepared bento box meals.

All meals are prepared under the supervision of the food service director and consultant dietitian. Therapeutic diets, including low sodium and diabetic meals, are available upon the recommendation of the attending physician and our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. An alternative menu selection is available to meet individual food preferences.
